This being said, we are firm believers that it is not too late for New Year goals. We thought we would share a few of our goals for 2016 with you!
Whilst we always keep our bakery nice and tidy, it is sometimes hard to say the same about our homes.
The holidays have left us with a haul of new things (especially for baby Arthur), so our goal is to remove some of the old and unused to make room for the new.
We found some really helpful decluttering tips from Joshua Becker at Becoming Minimalist. Our favourite idea is the Four Box Method, where you go through each room in your house separating everything into one of four boxes: 1. Keep, 2. Relocate, 3. Donate and 4. Rubbish. We think this will make big projects more manageable, and will make it easy to get everyone in your family involved!
Our goal is to take a look at what we own and ask ourselves, for example, do we really need that new coat when we already have four perfectly good coats in the wardrobe at home? Or is that latest gadget a must-have in my life?
For the most part, the answer is probably not. Whilst we cannot realistically cut out all of our indulgences (massive gastropub meals, sunny holidays and cookbook purchases), thinking more about our consumption is something we would like to keep on our minds in 2016 and beyond.
Develop More Flavours
In 2015, apart from all of the usual craziness that comes with running a small business, our founding director (and main flavour alchemist) was also pregnant.
Now that things are starting to return to their normal balance, we want to give you even more options for 2016. You can look forward to more seasonal flavours, and some never-before-seen concoctions alongside our fabulous tried-and-tested current range.
We hope that all of your resolutions for 2016 are going well. If not, there is always time to start over for February. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to watch our 2016 goals unfold!
