London's bi-yearly celebration of fashion is back to showcase the collections that will be hitting the shops for Autumn and Winter 2014- 2015.
For many, London Fashion Week is like another world. A world filled with designers that you haven't heard of, models that you will never look like and some clothes that you would never dream of wearing. For others it is a fabulous celebration of all things lovely and creative. As well as a chance to see what the crème de la crème of the fashion world are sporting this season.
Whether you love or hate London Fashion Week, there is some inspiration to be taken away from this event in the way of colour schemes that can work great for home decor, events and weddings.
Wedding Palette Inspiration from LFW
Colour Palettes for Autumn & Winter 2014 Weddings-
From the first three days of London Fashion Week, we are starting to see a trend of pairing bright oranges and yellows with monochrome, greys and neutral shades, to create a great POP of colour. People generally tend to go for darker shades and more neutral tones for events during the colder months. But, LFW shows us that it's OKAY to go bright and bold, even in the Autumn and Winter months.
Here are some colour palette examples from the Topshop Unique and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi catwalks.
Neutrals, MustARDS, yELLOWS
Browns, tans and mustards make for a classic Autumnal colour palette. Put together a mix of these shades, and you have got the perfect formula for a relaxed but chic look for a vintage, DIY or rustic wedding.
Plus, if you are a fan of a pop of colour, add some pale or bright yellow into the mix for a memorable colour scheme with a plethora of great floral options.
Greys, Coral, Bright Orange
Bright Orange has truly hit London Fashion Week with a BANG! This lively colour has appeared across a number of A/W 2014- 2015 collections, either paired with greys, blacks and whites or as a bold statement on its own. If bright orange is a little too wild for you, coral and pale orange also make a great statement without being too in-your-face.
