Path of Destruction On the 8th of November, Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines. The storm that has been called a "Super Typhoon" ravaged the islands with waves over 17 feet tall and winds reaching 195 miles per hour. Over 9 million people are estimated to have been affected by the typhoon. Typhoon Haiyan has not only caused death and destruction in its path, but it has also left many people vulnerable, homeless and without the basic food and water that they need to survive. |
